The optimal time for polar bear sightings is typically from July to September, when the ice conditions are suitable for expedition cruise ships to reach polar bear habitats.
Polar bear cruises offer the best opportunity to encounter these magnificent creatures in their natural environment, while ensuring passenger safety. Subject to weather and ocean conditions, additional viewing opportunities may be via zodiac cruises that originate from the expedition cruise ship.
